I found this picture in one of my father's albums. This Hudson factory showroom was built in 1926-27 behind the main Hudson office building on Jefferson Avenue in Detroit. Beautiful building and beautiful automobiles. Dad worked at Hudson's for about ten years until 1935.
This big Saguaro in our yard has been armless during our 14-years of living here. "They" say that arms don't appear until the plant is about 75 years old. Well this year suddenly a whole bunch of armes are starting to grow! Maybe six or more! Happy 75th Birthday Mr. or Mrs. Saguaro!
Last night while in the pool, we spotted a little Western Screech Owl watching us from a nearby perch. I got a couple of flash pics, but shooting from the middle of the pool in the dark with a point-n-shoot camera didn't produce the best image.
Well this morning it showed up again in an Ironwood tree in front of the house! Since they are nocturnal it's a bit unusual to get a daytime picture of them. This time I had a more suitable camera handy...
